Episode 1: Distributed Systems Host Introductions

by joliver on December 21, 2010

As the mainstream of software development begins to move into areas such as cloud computing and other forms of distributed systems, understanding how to build software  targeting these environments becomes more and more important.  With the deluge of information available, many developers feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. Even experienced developers with understanding of “traditional” programming may find themselves struggling with new concepts such as the Fallacies of Distributed Computing.  It is with this in mind, that we bring you a new podcast dedicated to helping developers better refine their skills and knowledge in order to target these new and exciting deployment environments.

Happy listening!

Great first show and great idea for a podcast series!
Quick question, what was that something-something protocols Rinat talked about as great for learning?

  6. dp_admin permalink

Tormod, I probably mentioned Google Protocol Buffers for serialization and Advanced Message Queuing Protocol for the messaging.

    • Petar, thank you for the feedback!

At the moment of writing there are two primary CQRS resources: Cqrsinfo.com and CQRS starting point. As for the links and resources mentioned in the podcasts – we plan to start providing them in a continuous manner.
